One-Day Intensive Still Life Photography Workshop

289.00

For the first time, I'm opening my own little South East London home for an intimate photography workshop. The workshop is limited to 3 people for the day in order to give each participant as much attention as possible and encourage some serious learning. There are two dates available for February (Wednesday 21st and Saturday 24th) to hopefully suit varying schedules. We will gather in my kitchen for the day which is where I keep the largest part of my props collection and where most of the "action" happens.

Whether you're looking to create beautiful images for your website, business, blog or Instagram, or you would like to learn how to build and photograph a still life for your personal portfolio, this workshop will give you the tools needed.

We will start with an introduction to basic manual camera settings followed by the principles of composition of a still life and the use of props. We will explore how to "tell a visual story" with your images and what to consider when building it. This will be followed by a set of exercises on capturing the still life in different ways as well as an introduction to Photoshop and Lightroom post processing.

The day includes a cosy, home cooked lunch (with the wood burner adding to the atmosphere on a chilly February day) which will give us a chance to chat and get to know each other a little better.

Please make sure you bring your camera and - if you have - your tripod.

All materials and props are provided, though if there are favourite items you would like to include in your images, you're welcome to bring those.
